We believe in safe boating practices and believe that the way to safe boating is through education.  Our mission is to increase awareness and knowledge of safe boating by educating and training members and the general public, by fostering fellowship among members, and by establishing partnerships and alliances with organizations and agencies interested in boating.

We offer public courses for certification, specific interest and membership.  We also offer member courses to improve navigation skills.

Public Courses for Certification

  • Boat Pro and Boating Course to obtain your Pleasure Craft Operator Certificate or PCOC.
  • Marine Radio Seminar to obtain your Radio Operator Certificate or ROC(M).

Public Courses for Specific Interest (courses offered if there is interest)

  • Navigation with GPS, Marine Electronics, Extended Cruising, Global Weather, Marine Maintenance, Marine Electrical Maintenance, Seamanship Sail, Finding your way with GPS, Radar and Fundamentals of Weather.

Public Courses for Membership

  • Boat Pro and Boating Course - CPS Associate, CPS Member

  • Piloting, Advanced Piloting and Celestial Navigation
